Storyline :  Vicente Aranda’s sweeping adaptation of this most famous novel in the Catalan language, Tirant Lo Blanc, was called “the best book of its kind in the world” by no less than Miguel de Cervantes himself in Don Quixote. It is the story of a knight, Tirant, whose bravery is legendary across Europe. The Byzantine emperor asks Tirant’s help against the Turks, and thanks to his courage and military prowess the Turks are defeated; yet the external threats confronted by Tirant pale against the internal threats that begin to emerge due to all the intrigues swirling about the Imperial Court.
